Description
The device consists of the following elements:
1) a sliding guide with counter
2) an abrasion slide that slides on the frame
3) a metal block (weight 520gr) freely supported by the guide frame, the lower side covered by a foam rubber covering
4) a smooth plexiglass top (about 14×26 cm) utilized as abrasion base.
The metal block has a surface of 50x50mm, which causes an abrasive pressure of 2 mn / mm2 or 0.2 n / cm2.
The friction path measures 2x10cm for double movement (to-and-fro) and is automatically recorded by the counter.
